nominations from the floor were accepted.

Discussion Items
(Continued)
Madison Metro Route Changes: Metro has proposed changes to the 5 and 12 routes, with a potential
addition of a Park & Ride for City employees at the Olin-Turville southern
parking lot, with the bus traveling down Lakeside Street instead of Olin.
Public meetings occurring tonight and tomorrow (Tues 12/11). Kyle Richmond left
the BCNA meeting (with our feedback) to attend the Metro Meeting. General
consensus from the group:
- A
Park & Ride in a city park?!! Bad idea.
- Lakeside
residents fought to keep buses off during the last route change. Probably
will fight again.
County Board Candidate Forum: Primary for
County Board Candidates is February 19th. Proposed idea: Bay Creek
(and possibly some surrounding neighborhoods in our new district) will get
together to host a candidate’s forum. General consensus from group. Need
a moderator for the event. Rose Brothers, Ben Kadel and Daina Zemliauskas will
help Jim Winkle.
Quann Park Garden Committee: Next meeting
is January 15th at 7:00 pm in the Baha’i
Center.
MOTION (Jennifer
Zahn) to extend the meeting another 15 minutes. SECOND (Annette Czarnecki).
Unanimous approval.
January Potluck
Next meeting is the annual potluck. Invite a new neighbor to
the event, bring a dish to pass. Candace will contact Nick Glass to
use their washable
plastic plates, cups & utensils.
Next Meeting Facilitator: Judy Amburn on Date: Monday,
January 14th, 2002, 6 pm (NOTE EARLY START FOR POTLUCK!)
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm.
