The September minutes were not distributed or approved, as business was kept to a minimum due to the traffic presentation this evening.

Open Committees Seeking Members - Get Involved

Beautification: Bay Creek has two neighborhood gardens and we need your help to keep them beautiful. Contact: Jim Winkle. Beautification committee has also secured neighborhood banners for the Park Street corridor. Contact: Candace Pantoga.
Welcome Committee: Create a welcome kit, help distribute it; update our neighborhood brochure; devise a block captain program. Contact: Jennifer Zahn.
Events: Plan our July 4th picnic or late summer neighborhood-wide rummage sale. Contact: Amy Turner.
Newsletter: Write articles, take pictures, create drawings. Contact: Kirk Elliott.
Website: Always looking for new computer-created or hand-drawn graphics and neighborhood pictures. We host a neighborhood plant exchange via the web, too! Contact: Jim Winkle.
South Madison Planning Council (SMPC): A coalition of neighborhood and business associations, always looking for volunteers. Latest project is improvement of the Park Street corridor. Contact: Ben Kadel.

Item of Business: New Coffee Shop

At 1309 S. Park Street, the old Jiffy Lube / Donut Shop will be taken over by the owner of Ground Zero and turned into a coffee shop with drive-through access. Presenter requested Bay Creek Neighborhood Association write a letter of support.

SO MOVED. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL.

Ben Kadel will write letter of support.
